WVCA is a private, non profit agency. Memberships and accreditations include:
- Member Agency of the United Way of Wyoming Valley
- Awarded the Seal of Excellence from PANO (Pennsylvania Assn. of Nonprofit Organizations)
- Early Intervention Providers Association of Pennsylvania
- Coalition On Autism

Donations are accepted in the form of cash, check, Visa or Mastercard. Gifts In Kind, donations of tangible property, bequests, insurance and matching gifts are accepted upon approval of the Gift Acceptance Committee.
WVCA is governed by a Volunteer Board of Directors which meets monthly.
