Wyoming Valley Children's Association holds several Fund Raising Events throughout the year. Community support for these events is crucial to their success and the success of the agency.
Donations to Wyoming Valley Children's Association can be made to the agency's annual campaign Donation Form or to one of the events listed below.
Night At The Races
(February 2, 2008)
A fun, interactive evening at which patrons purchase and name a horse which is then placed in a race. The winning horse owner wins a cash prize. Attendees can also bet on the horses in the race. Refreshments are included in the admission price of $5. Admission is free to those who purchase a horse for $10. Event sponsorships and horse sales begin in November.
"Do It For The Kids" Walk-A-Thon
(April 12, 2008)
A 5k (3.1 mile) walk through the Wilkes-Barre and Kingston. Walkers raise pledges to compete for individual and team prizes or pay a registration fee of $25 (reduced fee of $15 for students). Refreshments, a bake sale and children's games and activities are included to round out the event. Sponsorships ranging from $25 - $5,000 are available starting in October. Walker registration sheets and team packets are available in February.
Community groups may also, with prior approval, organize their own fund raising events (i.e. golf tournaments, bake sales, raffles, etc.) to benefit WVCA. Wyoming Valley Motorcycle Show

A show featuring all the things bikers need for the upcoming motorcycle riding season as well as entertainment, food, custom bike displays and a People's Choice competition for individual motorcycle owners. All motorcycle dealers, clubs and merchandise vendors are welcome to register for the show. Sponsorships ranging from $500 - $2,500 are also available. Registration begins in January.
